Mrs Alice Léger, 89, of St Anselme, widow of Yvon Léger and formerly of Pré-d’en-Haut, died Friday at Dr Georges L. Dumont Hospital after a lenfthy illness.

Born in Pré-d’en-Haut, she was a daughter of the late Philomon and Philomène (Belliveau) Bourgeois. She attended Notre Dame de L’Annonciation Roman Catholic Church, Pré-d’en-Haut. Her husband died years ago,
She is survived by an adopted son, Alfred Gautreau, with whom she resisded; a sister, Mrs Gérard LeBlanc (Zélica) of Belliveau Village; two brothers, Amable of Pré-d’en-Haut and Camille of Villa du Repos, Moncton; nine grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. A daughter, Yvonne, three sisters, Evéline, Laudia and Lina, and two brothers, Alfred and Aurèle, all died previously.

The body will be at Dupuis Funeral Home, Memramcook, this evening, Funeral mass will be celebrated Monday at Notre-Dame de L’Annonciation Roman Catholic Church at 7 p.m. with burial in the parish cemetery in the spring..
